Good Evening Team and Family –
The first week is now in the books. Snaps and claps to us! We did it. Together, as a unit, we did it! I want to thank you all for your hard work and resilience throughout the first week. We experienced four days of lows, grows, highs, and attendance rise! Every day we watched classes grow in number, excitement, participation, and engagement. This is all thanks to you, the teachers. As a team, we have succeeded in our knowledge of the unpredictable world of technology. We now fix our problems in-the-moment and support others when we can. It is because you don’t let anything stop you from being there for your students.
Thank you again for your honest feedback during “broken windows” meetings. The team has made great strides during these four days because of this. As we enter week 2, please refer to the big rocks below:
Schedule – There were no grows for schedule. Yay!!! Just as a reminder, updated schedules need to be posted in G-classrooms. Starting tomorrow, Monday, begin to incorporate pieces of the breakout schedule to ensure 100% readiness for week 3.
Google Classroom – Normalizing and formating in Google Classroom is still happening! Admin will be checking to assure classwork tabs are updated for a streamlined look across classrooms. The expectation is that they will be ready by Tuesday.
Systems & Procedures– Thanks to Mr. Miller’s work, we have a simpler view of Robert’s tracker to identify our ELs, SEBS, and SPED students. The doc was released Friday, but I will drop it below. Even though we have a limited view of some of the information, we will use what we have to serve our students and families best.
As we look to tomorrow, the beginning of a new week, let’s go into it with the spirit of optimism and hope. Tomorrow, we will continue visiting more classrooms and providing support as needed. Also, remember Team & Family at 7:00 am and the “broken windows” meeting in the evening. We will be wrapping it up on Wednesday. Please feel free to send Admin any feedback or thoughts regarding ways that we can best support you. Thank you for all of your efforts.
