About

Ella Livingston is an Irish-American actress and director who served as the 42nd and last Vice President of the Drama Club from 2018 to 2019. She is known for her work both on and off stage, being one of the few student directors of her generation, and serving as President of the SLOHS Film Production Club concurrent with her drama vice presidency.

Livingston made her SLOHS debut with a minor role in Guys and Dolls (2016). She later appeared in notable supporting roles in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2017), Bye Bye Birdie (2018), and A Midsummer Night's Dream (2019). Livingston landed her first leading roles in her senior year, becoming known for her performances as the Cowardly Lion in Wizard of Oz (2018) and Rosie in Mamma Mia! (2019). She ventured into behind-the-scenes work in her sophomore year, serving as assistant director for Annie (2018) and Romeo and Juliet (2018), and later directing Be More Chill (2018) alongside her future presidential successor Maggie Zuniga. Livingston was also well-known during her time at SLOHS as a recurring anchor on Tiger News Network and for her recurring role in the Film Club original series Finding Marcy.

As one of the most experienced incoming seniors of her grade, Livingston won the vice presidency[1] in the 2018 Drama Club presidential election, a position which grew over time into more of a co-presidency alongside President Cati Newlon. She and Newlon helmed one of the club's biggest seasons in history, tying the record for most events in a school year (3 musicals, 2 plays, Coffee Night, and the 24-Hour Musical).

Livingston graduated in 2019, making her final appearance in The Addams Family (2019). She moved to New York later that year to pursue a career in performing arts. Livingston currently holds the record for most prolific member of the drama program; she participated in thirteen productions over the course of her time at SLOHS, acting in eleven of them.
