We are delighted that your child will be joining our nursery. We are very much looking forward to welcoming you into our St Mark’s family. We appreciate that this can be a daunting experience for parents, especially if this is your first child coming to nursery, so please do not hesitate to contact us should you have an questions.
Mrs Emmett, our Nursery Team Leader, will contact you to discuss the transition arrangements for your child’s first week with us. If your child is due to start in August, Mrs Emmett will contact you in June. For any children due to start later in the session after they have turned 3 years old (E.g., Dec, Jan), Mrs Emmett will contact you in the weeks prior to your child’s 3rd birthday. At St Mark's Nursery, we value the importance of home-nursery partnership, therefore we ensure every family has the opportunity for a home visit. Mrs Emmett, when arranging transition, will arrange a suitable time for your child's keyworker to visit you at home prior to your child starting. Also, to ensure as smooth a transition as possible for you and your little one, your child will begin their first week of nursery with a phased start.
