Mrs. V. Emmett
Nursery Team Leader
I am the Team Leader and I have been a member of the St. Mark’s Nursery Team since opening in August 2023. During that time, I have been part of a very successful team, nurturing and supporting our youngest learners by providing enriching Early Learning and Childcare in the aspiration of every child reaching their fullest potential. Working at St. Mark’s, I thrive in working as part of a multi-agency team, ensuring high quality provision to meet the holistic needs of all service users. The children at St. Marks are at the heart of everything we do, ensuring their wellbeing and early education is at the forefront. Being an Early Learning and Childcare professional allows me to pursue my love of creativity whereupon children can self-express and bring their own creations to life. Being part of children’s educational pathways allows me to establish and develop nurturing relationships with both children and parents/carers. My journey into Early Learning and Childcare was sparked by my own parental involvement within my own child’s nursery alongside my LOVE of all children. This passion led me to complete my HNC in Childhood Practice before progressing and achieving my BA Childhood Studies Degree.
Working with young children is both rewarding and a privilege - there really is no other job like it.

Mrs. Margaret Semple
Early Years Support Assistant
I work in the nursery as an early years support assistant. I love working in St Mark’s. You’ll often find me on a treasure hunt or dancing around the school with the children. You’ll probably hear us before you see us! When I’m not in work I love going to the caravan and spending time with my family. I also enjoy long walks and a quiz show, my favourite being the 1% club.
