The Special Events Team is available to support campus priorities by developing experiences that reflect the best of Spartan spirit. The team provides a variety of services that range from full event planning and management to consultation services. In consultation with our campus partners, we work with you to develop an event plan. This can include: identifying venues, securing vendors (e.g., caterers, florists, supplies), coordination with Facilities, Development & Operations (FD&O), creating event layouts, etc.
This may include:
Program development review
Event layout suggestions
Vendor recommendations
Operational strategies
We provide our expertise and resources (e.g., preferred vendors, event planning templates, etc.) to use while you to execute a successful event.
This may include, but is not limited to:
Identifying venues
Managing vendors (e.g., caterers, florists, supplies)
Coordination with Facilities Development & Operations (FD&O)
Managing the run-of-show & event plan
Creating event layouts
While our goal is to support each event to the best of our ability, we are unable to provide full event planning and/or event management for every event. We will, however, continue to be available to support and lend our expertise when needed. The level of service that we can provide will be determined by the level of visibility and campus-wide significance of the event.
