History

We did a brush-up lesson on physical formations on Friday. Students carved different vocab words our of clay while friends geussed the build, followed by small groups acting out Earth's features. Students have an open note quiz on Tuesday.

We have been learning about the 5 themes of geography as well as what types of maps there are, why there are so many, and how they are all useful. This is all in preparation for a country project they will be doing.

We have reviewed westward expansion and what was happening during that time that might cause tension within the country. Students are doing a web quest on the Underground Railroad and starting to think about what led up to the Civil War.
