✍️ Writing Update
Students wrapped unit 1 this week. Students did a review on test #1. Our schedule changed slightly on Friday and the students did not recieve their study guide from me. I am emailing students and parents a copy of what they should have in their notes.

✍️ Writing Update
This week we took our Unit 1 test. Many students should be very proud of their scores! We ended the week with a focus on writing professionally as an academic.
✏️ Literature Update
We started our first novel unit: Stand Tall. If parents would like a copy of the book to follow along at home please reach out and let me know. We have read the first 5 chapters this week. We will review on Monday and quiz on Tuesday on the first 5 chapters.

✍️ Writing Update
Students have been expanding their writing this week with compound and complex sentences. They even tested their knowledge on how to fix fragments and run-ons. Their review is on Monday and first Unit test on Tuesday.
✍️ Literature Update
Those who tested this week, passed with flying colors! I'm so proud of them. We are working on pirate skits in groups, as well as reading through Part 2 of the book. Ask your child to have a conversation with you in "Pirate Lingo," its a HOOT. Savvy?
