Marlow Navigation’s Captain Leopoldo C. Tenorio, CEO of Operations alongside Captain Joemar P. Masacote, Senior Crewing Manager paid extension visit to SMET on February 21st for an academy tour and sailing observation.
Accompanied by the top management and leaders of SJIT, the shipping principal personalities roamed around the campus simultaneous with the conduct of P.E. classes highlighting a facility – Olympic size pool and various learning tools such as sailboats (dinghies, specifically named as “Oz Goose”).
In an interview with a staffer of school publication (LAYAG), Capt. Tenorio put an emphasis saying, “Sailing really helps the seafarer to be equipped with survival skills when they come onboard.”
Furthermore, he was surprised to firstly know that the sailing subject, for just less than a year, has gone bigger in their scope as well as the population.
Dignitaries offer their appreciation and overall impression as they had an informal conversation with the sailing adviser – Mr. Patrick Ruiz.
