Would a fire in the farm be a good thing? Students in grades Prep, 1 and 2 discussed this and decided that a fire could be dangerous because:
- Fire can burn plants or people
- Burns hurt
- Smoke can hurt your eyes and throat and
- Little fires can turn into big fires.... BUT
Fire can be good when it's small and we stay safe. It's good for:
- Cooking
- Keeping us warm
- Giving light and
- The ash can help soil.
So we had a safe fire in the farm and we watched and wondered as we burned some of the dead branches:
