In middle school Spanish we follow a Spanish I curriculum to get ready for excelling in high school and beyond. Below are some of the topics we will cover in seventh grade.

Seventh grade Spanish class continues our journey with a Spanish I middle school curriculum. During the three years of middle school, students will learn the vocabulary, grammar, reading and conversational skills necessary for a smooth transition into Spanish II in high school.
7th grade topics and activities:
*Culture: History and contemporary culture of Puerto Rico and Spain
*Vocabulary: Family, food, clothes, shopping, restaurants
*Grammar: Possessive adjectives, direct object pronouns, stem-changing verbs in the present
*Videos: Native speaker videos, stories, interviews, and pop music
*Projects: Writing projects related to the chapter vocabulary
*Readers: We read short novels in Spanish that are appropriate for the students' reading level
