A woman drove into a vehicle driven by the girlfriend of her child’s father before the girlfriend retrieved a gun and fatally shot her at a north side gas station, according to a criminal complaint.
Jasmin D. Troutman, 24, was charged Thursday with second-degree reckless homicide-use of a dangerous weapon in the death of Teresa L. Wade, 24, according to a criminal complaint and Milwaukee police.
Wade was shot about 5 p.m. Sunday at the Citgo station in the 4800 block of N. Teutonia Ave., according to police.
According to the complaint:
Troutman began dating the father of Wade’s son in August, when Wade was still pregnant with the boy.
Wade was driving when she spotted Troutman driving the father’s car and pulled behind her after Troutman pulled into the gas station.
Wade began to threaten Troutman before backing up and then driving into the passenger side of the other car.
Troutman then retrieved a gun from the car and fatally shot Wade, who drove off before losing consciousness several blocks away.
A woman who was with Wade put the emergency brake on to stop the car, according to the complaint.
Troutman was in the Milwaukee County Jail on Thursday, with her bail set at $15,000, according to jail records.

Once or twice I have been provoked and have asked the company how many of them could describe the Second Law of Thermodynamics. The response was cold: it was also negative. I now believe that if I had asked an even simpler question — such as, What do you mean by mass, or acceleration, which is the scientific equivalent of saying, Can you read? — not more than one in ten of the highly educated would have felt that I was speaking the same language. So the great edifice of modern physics goes up, and the majority of the cleverest people in the western world have about as much insight into it as their neolithic ancestors would have had.[5]
