1. The Importance of avoiding Riba

2. Potential wrong doings of Ehl-e-Kitab that Muslims might follow:

Muslim :: Book 34 : Hadith 6448

Abu Sa'id al-Khudri reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: You would tread the same path as was trodden by those before you inch by inch and step by step so much so that if they had entered into the hole of the lizard, you would follow them in this also. We said: Allah's Messenger, do you mean Jews and Christians (by your words)" those before you"? He said: Who else (than those two religious groups)?

There can be a list of traits in ehl-e-kitab and we can draw parallels since more than 14 centuries have passed now. Somethings are obvious somethings are not. I shall keep updating this list inshAllah with less obvious things. So far some of selected things are

  1. Lan Tamassana-Annar: They believed that Fire wouldn't touch them.

  2. Ghulu (Exaggeration): They used to do Ghulu (Exaggeration) regarding Prophets.

  3. Baghi (Envy): They differed from each other because of Baghi (Envy) after being knowledgeable.

  4. Arbab: They made their Alims and Rahibs their gods (Arbab). Apparently they did not directly consider Alims and Rahibs as gods, so there was something undue for Alims and Rahibs that Allah considered the same as making them gods.
