Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) said, "Facilitate things to people (concerning religious matters), and do not make it hard for them and give them good tidings and do not make them run away (from Islam)." Sahih Al-Bukhari Vol.1 : No. 69

Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) said, "Religion is very easy and whoever overburdens himself in his religion will not be able to continue in that way. So you should not be extremists, but try to be near to perfection and receive the good tidings that you will be rewarded; and gain strength by worshipping in the mornings, the nights." Sahih Al-Bukhari Vol. 1 : No. 38

Narrated by Numan bin Bashir (Radhiallaho anho): I heard Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam)saying, 'Both legal and illegal things are evident but in between them there are doubtful (suspicious) things and most of the people have no knowledge about them. So whoever saves himself from these suspicious things saves his religion and his honor. And whoever indulges in these suspicious things is like a shepherd who grazes (his animals) near the Hima (private pasture) of someone else and at any moment he is liable to get in it. (O people!) Beware! Every king has a Hima and the Hima of Allah on the earth is His illegal (forbidden) things. Beware! There is a piece of flesh in the body, if it becomes good (reformed) the whole body becomes good but if it gets spoilt the whole body gets spoilt and that is the heart. Sahih Al-Bukhari Vol.1 : No. 49

Narrated by 'Aisha (Radhiallaho anha): Whenever Allah's Apostle was given the choice of one of two matters he would choose the easier of the two as long as it was not sinful to do so, but if it was sinful, he would not approach it. Allah's Apostle never took revenge over anybody for his own sake but (he did) only when Allah's legal bindings were outraged, in which case he would take revenge for Allah's sake." (Sahih Bukhari Hadith No. 760. Vol. 4)

Narrater by A'isha (Radhiallaho anha) reported: Never did Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) make a choice between two things but adopting the easier one as compared to the difficult one, but his choice for the easier one was only in case it did not involve any sin, but if it involved sin he was the one who was the farthest from it amongst the people.(Sahih Muslim, Book 30, Hadith 5754 )
