Involvement Opportunities

Want to be more involved? Here are a few ways to jump start your career in nursing!

Widener Partnership Charter School Volunteer

Helping the nurse at the Widener Partnership Charter School. In the past nursing students have volunteered to assist the nurse in the charter school health office. They usually do paperwork. The nurse is there Monday through Friday 8-4 pm. Students can come for as little as an hour. Juniors and seniors preferred because they have their clearances and ppd (TB test) which is required to be in the school setting.

Widener Days and Widener Workshops

Come volunteer to speak to prospective Widener Students and their families. You can talk about you experiences here at Widener University in the Nursing Program, and your role in WUSNA! For the Nursing workshop, you may contact Linda O'Kane for more details (ljokane@mail.widener.edu). You earn 10 WUSNA Points!!!

You will attend workshops that can aide you in your future career as a nurse. You can meet with different recruiters from hospitals all over the country.
