Keishinkan

Keishinkan or "Kei Shin Kan" (respectful heart and soul), is a minor style of the Shuri-te strain of karate and is not widely known even in its country of birth. Keishinkan is associated with the line of Toyoma Sensei, whose excellent qualities are well known in Australia, Malaysia and elsewhere.

Kei Shin Kan as a dojo teaching Japanese karate, began in 1948 under the guidance of the present day Master Masanao Takazawa, 9th Degree. 2 famous Grand Masters of Karate Do - Anko Itosu and Higaonna Kanryō, were responsible for introducing the name "Karate" to one of the Japanese martial arts and that it was one of Grand Master Itosu's students, Master Toyama, who formed the Kei Shin Kan dojo. One of Master Takazawa's top two students, Masayuki Takasaka 5th Dan, founded Kei Shin Kan in Australia in 1971.

Keishinkan Grandmaster Takazawa passed away on 29 May 2010 at 11pm (local time).

Wikipedia no longer lists Keishinkan Karate, however more information can be found here https://keishinkankarate.com/
