The attached object contains data for adult and young male mallards in Colorado, banded during 1963-1971 already in RMark capture history format
Process the data for the Seber recovery parameterization in RMark
Construct the appropriate PIM structures for age-specific models using the design data and building an "age.now" parameter
Run combinations Run the 2-age.R code in RMark permitting combinations of age and time variation in S and r
Compute and plot model averaged estimates of survival over time for each age class
a. Is survival constant or time varying?
b. Does there appear to be an age effect? In which direction?
Export the models to a MARK project
Using MARK conduct a bootstrap goodness of fit test (100 reps) for the S(age*t) r(age*t) model. Compare the distribution of these to the observed deviance from your MARK /RMark run. What do you conclude about fit?
