On our small family farm, we are striving to find a more sustainable way of life. We are integrating a variety of complementary practices to produce food for our family and a surplus to provide to others. This includes raising various livestock focusing on Nigerian Dwarf goats and pastured poultry. Our heirloom vegetable garden is intended to provide for us, to market and to supplement the livestock's other feed. The milk from the dairy animals feeds their young, our family and the other livestock. The waste from all the animals improves the soil, which in turn supports new growth and nourishes the animals in return.
We are in the process of rebuilding our farm after a move in 2014. Goats and chickens will be returning to the farm in 2016. We may have eggs and/or goat kids for sale beginning in early 2017. Stay tuned!
