Welcome to Mrs. Wira's webpage for Third Year Latin at La Jolla High!
This year we will be finishing basic grammar and embarking upon "real Latin" journeys.
For grammar, we will be covering comparatives and superlatives, participles, the dreaded (but easy) passive paraphrastic and ablative absolute, indirect discourse, and tackling the many uses of subjunctive verbs.
As we learn the new grammar, we will be sampling many classical authors, including Catullus, Martial, Livy, Cicero, Ovid, and Caesar.
I plan on having a lot of fun while pursuing a rigorous curriculum!
