John CODIA served in the Royal Northumberland Fusiliers (Tyneside Irish) in World War I.
"CODIA J, private, No 24/154, 'A' Company, enlisted 4 Nov 1914, discharged 19 March 1918 with gunshot wounds.
He was on a raiding party to the enemy trenches on 25/26 June 1916, was mentioned in despatches, and was wounded in Oct 1916."
