Glide Waxing Option

For those that have inquired about waxing at home more frequently (without an iron and waxing bench), there is a good alternative - new high-quality liquid waxes. The photo shows Vauhti waxes that we have used, but Rex has similar products and probably also Swix and Holmenkol.

Here are the components that are as little as $25 total and will last a couple seasons:

    1. Basic nylon wax brush

    2. Cold (non-fluoro) liquid wax - something for temps from single digits to low 20s.

    3. Optional - warmer wax for up to 32F.

Directions - spray (or rub) liquid wax indoors to your glide zones and let dry for 15 minutes. Hold your ski like when kick waxing, and brush glide zones with a forward-back scrubbing motion until shiny (30 seconds per ski). That's it. It's also a good time to scrape excess kick wax and cork remaining kick wax smooth. Sundays are a great time to do this to have skis ready for the week.
