About the game
SLicense to Dye is a twitch based 2D hybrid action-puzzle game with a story, that is best described as a mixture of Fruit Ninja and Spuzzies; fast, twitchy but accurate fingers will be the key to success. The entire game revolves around color theory. It also includes special abilities, equipment, and varying enemy types. SLicense to Dye starts off easy, slowly wading players into the full suite of mechanics. Although structured to fit within the mobile game convention of three-star rated level games, SLicense to Dye also introduces a break from the standard level-to-level design paradigm by injecting repeatable boss encounters.
What went right
The team worked really well together. Things seemed to be going great at the start. Art support was great quality throughout the project. Boss battles also came together very nicely.
What went wrong
Effort started to wane near the end of the project. The level editor was adequate but could've been more fully featured for testing and designers.
