The Indigenous Content Unit Plans was a 4th Year assignment designed to educate pre-service students on the importance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture in education.
As part of our curriculum unit, we were tasked with designing a unit plan hat incorporated Indigenous knowledge and culture within the content. I had integrated Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledge regarding acid/base analysis into my presentations. This information would prove useful when they attempt their formative assessment. I also designed a formative assessment on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Acid/Base Analysis Techniques which they had to present as a poster.
The rubric above was used as a model to re-construct and develop the Indigenous unit plan. Using the rubric, the unit plan was self and peer assessed.
Upon reviewing the unit, I have written reflections on the Indigenous unit plan. In my reflections, I have justified the selection of the [articular Indigenous content along with selection of written descriptors and their sequence.
