Census Maps

We compiled data from the Statistics office into an easily navigable form, condensing fields for dozens of census tracts across multiple decades into a series of graphical representations. The Venipedia pages we have prepared showcase this work.

Live Cruise Ship Data (Dashboard)

We combined data from the Venice Terminal Passeggeri, Travelocity, and various other sites, to make automated estimates of the number of tourists arriving in the city by cruise ship. Those estimates, updated regularly, are available as a widget on the Dashboard.

Live Airplane Data (Dashboard)

We combined data from FlightRadar24 and other sites such as SeatMaestro with our own observations to make automated estimates of the number of tourists arriving in the city by airplane. Those estimates, updated regularly, are available as a widget on the Dashboard. The source code for the widget is available here.

Interactive Map: Stores and Accommodations

We arranged data contributed by past projects to investigate and represent trends in Venice's retail environment. Our map of Venice displays the most up to date information city's stores, allowing users to sort them by year, type, or category, as well as providing them with heat maps and references to the relevant Venipedia pages.
