At last our final presentation is tonight. We have worked very diligently the last couple weeks and its time for some pay-off. Although our final proposal is due tomorrow night we have all our ducks in a row. We have converted census tracts from 1981, 1991, and 2001 for Venice italy and used QGIS to convey our results. We have our widgets all planned and information gathered on cruise ships and planes coming to Venice at any given time and any given day. Lastly we handed our survey in to the Institutional Review Board to get approved early this week.
Our survey is designed to gather information concerning how many tourists are coming into Venice from the Marco Polo airport. We plan to verbally interview 100 subjects to gather data on how long they are stayingin Venice, what country they are occupants in and what was the last airport they departed from before arrivine in Venice. We plan to identify what airports and coutries are responsible for the most tourists that arrive in Venice. We will convey this information in this word cloud.
Also seen below is the routes tourists will take from the airport to Venice. One is by boat, and the other bus. We will be focusing on the individuals waiting at the bus stop and boat docks to interview. From personal experience that seems like the best time to conduct our survey as people will be less rushed and more likely to participate and give accurate information.
