Sydney Baji Quan Class 悉尼八極拳班
Baji quan is a Chinese martial art that features explosive, short-range power and is famous for its elbow and shoulder strikes. It originated in the Hebei Province in Northern China, but spread to Taiwan and other places after it was introduced into the Central Guoshu Institute (Nanjing Guoshu Guan 南京國術館). Its full name is kai men baji quan (開門八極拳), which means "open-gate eight-extremities fist".

悉尼 八極拳 班
[文有太極安天下，武有八極定乾坤]
八極拳，一種中國北方傳統拳法，始於清初武術家「大槍王」吳鐘，流傳於中國河北滄州一帶。其拳術特色剛猛暴烈，與輕柔內歛的太極拳剛好相互對應。
八極拳與軍事系統聯繫緊密，由於拳法直接狠辣，殺傷力強，屢成為近代史上保護政要人物的「大內武術」。溥儀、蔣介石、毛澤東、蔣經國、李登輝等人的近身侍衛皆習八極。
在澳洲悉尼公開傳授八極拳的不多, 很多武術愛好者找不到好老師，故此特別開辦此課程推廣八極拳。

教練簡介:
牛虹光 教練，武術系碩士畢業於河北師範體育學院武術系主修傳統武術及散打。牛教練自少習武，後拜入馬氏通備武學傳人田新軍老師學習， 八極， 劈掛， 通臂， 翻子，鞭杆及苗刀等技。除此以外也曾得不少拳術名家指導如翻子拳名師等等。 他曾參加全球功夫之星比賽是三十六強之一，在全國及國際套路及散打比賽中獲得不少優異成績。牛教練有十多年國內外教學經驗， 不少學生在比賽中獲獎無數。
