6004 N. Lambert Street in Germantown section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is the street where I grew up with my other siblings and parents. In the City of Brotherly Love, this is the street of my home where an honest work ethic, respect for education, appreciation of playfulness and resourcefulness was nurtured in all of my six siblings.
My father is 93 years and still lives in the home we grew up in with his canine boxer, Max, and his cat, Bea. My mother, the love of his life, passed away in 2006. My parents groomed us to leave Lambert Street and fly beyond its constraints through education. It is always a humbling experience to visit my father at home - the roots of love, family and storied beginnings. In this satellite picture, my father is sitting outside his row home on Lambert Street next to his rose bush with his beloved boxer, Max.
