Dawn Blythe - Public Enquiry Officer

I have worked for Kent Police for the past twenty years. Most of the these years have been in an operational position – 12 years within SB at Longport and currently at Dover as a Public Enquiry Officer. Prior to working for the Police I was in the Ops Room at Dover Coastguard and worked my way through all the cross-channel operation roles before that!

I think I joined Unison about 18 years ago; I was glad I did. I had need of their services when extreme, near fatal illness forced me into a Stage 3 capability dismissal. Without Unison I don’t think I would have a job today. I became a steward just over a year ago as I wanted to give back.
