According to the regulations of the articles 6 and 10 of the Law of the Association of Citizens info societies, social and political organizations founded in SFRJ ( FSRJ – Federal Socialist Republik of Yugoslavia ) ( “Yugoslav Official Register” Nº 42/90 ) the Assembly Conference to establish THE TEACHERS’ ASSOCIATION “LOGOS”, at the meeting held on January 8th , 2001, in the premises of the primary school “8 septembar” ( “September 8th”) in Pirot accepted.
S T A T U T E
of the Teachers’ Association “ LOGOS ”
Article 1
AIMS
Teachers’ Association “LOGOS” was founded as non-political, non-governmental and non-profitable association with the aim of protection and improvement of human and political rights concerning ecology, uniting of different cultural art and educational movements of common and alternative interest, inducing individual creativeness and self-consciousness of the pupils of different age through different workshops, panels and seminars, the development of the local autonomy and spreading human tolerance and understanding, protection and better rights of the handicapped and the old, protection of the displaced people and refugees.

Association’s ACTIVITIES
To acomplish its aimsthe Association will:

NAME AND MAIN OFFICE
Name of the association is : Teachers’ Association “LOGOS”.
The Association “LOGOS” main office is in Pirot.
The Association “LOGOS” has its activities on the territory of Pirot, its community and the whole country ( SRJ ).
Article 4
MEMBERSHIP
Everyone who accepts the association and its statute and is recommended by one of the members can become a member of the Association “LOGOS”.
The Managing Board makes a decision about the admission of applicants.
Each member is due to sigh an application form.
A member can leave the organization by submitting resignation in a written form.
If a member has not been active for a long time, his membership is automatically resigned.
Assembly brings the decision of the resignation, or the proposal of The Managing Board.

THE ASSOCIATION’ S ORGANS (BODIES )
The Association’s organs are: Assembly, The Managing Board and Supervisory Board.
Article 7
ASSEMBLY
The “LOGOS” Assembly is consisted of all its members.
The regular Assembly meeting is once a year. Some special meeting can be organized by Assembly, on the proposal of the Managing Board, or on the written initiative of at least one third of the total number of members.
ASSEMBLY
Assembly makes decisions by the majority of the members present at the meeting.
Changes and amendments are accepted by two-thirds majority of the members present at the meeting.
Article 8
The Managing Board
The Managing Board is the executive organ of “LOGOS”, and its main task is supervising the achievement of the Association’s aims which were established by Statute and decisions of Assembly.
The Managing Board choses the president, the vice-president and the secretary ( main officer of the organization ) among its members.
The President of The Managing Board represents the Association in the law matters and has the rights and duties of the finance director.
The Vice-president and the secretary are authorized to represent the Association and to sign all the finance documents on behalf of the Association.
The Managing Board members’ term is four years and they can be chosen again for the same official duties.
Article 9
The Managing Board
The Managing Board makes decisions validly if there are at least half of the total number of its members; decisions are made by majority of the members present at the meeting.
Article 10
SUPERVISORY BOARD
Supervisory Board controls the finances of “LOGOS” and if misuse is noticed, they without delay, inform The Managing Board about it.
Supervisory Board is consisted of three members chosen at the Assembly meeting. Supervisory Board members’ term is four years and they can be chosen again for the same duty.
Supervisory Board submits a report at each Assembly meeting.
Article 11
PUBLIC ACTIVITY
The Activity of the Association “LOGOS” is public.
The Managing Board regularly informs the members and the public about its work and activities of “LOGOS”, direct or by means of publications, or by announcement to the public.
Article 12
COOPERATION WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS
For achieving its aims, the Association “LOGOS” makes contacts and cooperate with other vocational, scientific, educational and similar associations and organizations in the country or abroad.
“LOGOS” can become a part of other international associations with the same or similar activities and aims. Such decisions are made by Assembly.
Joining the international organizations should be registered at the appropriate governmental agency in 15 days, and in accordance with the law.
Article 13
FINANCE RESOURCES
The Teachers’ Association “LOGOS” gathers the finance from membership fees, donations, offering projects to the state or communal organs or foundations or from other sours, in accordance with the law regulations.
Article 14
THE ABOLITION OF “LOGOS”
The Association “LOGOS” can stop its activities by the decision of its Assembly, when conditions for accomplishing the aims of “LOGOS” do not exist any more, as well as in other cases regulated by law.
In the case of the abolition of “LOGOS” becomes the property of the primary school “8. septembar” ( “ September 8th” ) in Pirot.
Article 15
SEAL
“LOGOS” has a round seal on which it is written: Udru`enje prosvetnih radnika „LOGOS” - The Teachers’ Association “LOGOS” – in a circle and “ LOGOS “- Pirot in its centre.
Article 16
STATUTE IN EFFECT
The Statut is in effect on the day when it is accepted by the Assembly Conference to establish the Association “LOGOS” and it will be in use beginning with day of its registration at the authorised bodies.
