The installation of this kit is a complex procedure and carries potential risk of damaging your car stereo as well as the iPod interface.
The installation requires advanced soldering skills. All necessary measures to prevent electrostatic damage to the sensitive components comprising the kit and the stereo should be taken.
All iPod interface boards manufactured by Unique Design Concepts have passed testing before shipment.
Unique Design Concepts does not assume any responsibility if the kit does not function as anticipated in your car.
It is the responsibility of the person installing the kit to ensure that all steps of the installation process are carried out with utmost care and all necessary precautions are taken to ensure that the car, the stereo, and the iPod interface are not damaged.

The iPod interface kit is designed to provide seamless integration with the factory stereo. Although it is extensively tested, it is not guaranteed to be bug free.

The modified stereo box (with the iPod interface inside) is shown on Figure 1.

Figure 2 shows the car stereo enclosure. The iPod cable will be pushed in the slot circled in red.

Fold the iPod cable in half and insert it in the slot as shown on Figure 3 and Figure 4.

Pull out the cable as shown on Figure 5 and Figure 6.

Insert the car stereo in the enclosure and wrap up the excess cable length as shown on Figure 7 and Figure 8.

Insert the excess cable under the stereo as shown on Figure 9.

Figure 10 shows the cable under the car stereo.

Route the iPod cable behind the stereo front cover (circled in yellow on Figure 11). Make sure the cable is not squashed by the stereo as it can be damaged when the stereo is assembled in the next step. Also make sure the cable is aligned down as shown on Figure 12 (circled in blue) otherwise the stereo front fascia cannot be inserted back and can damage the cable.
Insert the four screws in the positions circled in red on Figure 11 and tighten them.

Figure 13 shows the car stereo box assembled (with screws) in its enclosure.

Position the stereo fascia and push it in at the top as shown on Figure 14.

Push the fascia in at the four edges as shown on Figure 15 until a click is heard.

Reconnect the stereo antenna connector as shown on Figure 16 and Figure 17.

Reconnect the stereo loom connector as shown on Figure 18 and Figure 19. The connector has a locking mechanism. Figure 18 shows the connector with an open lock. Initially the connector has to be inserted about two thirds of the way in with an open lock. After that the locking tab has to be simultaneously pushed in and down so that the connector is fully inserted and locked.

At this point the stereo has to be tested by turning the car key in “Accessories On” position. Once the radio is on, connect an iPod to the iPod interface cable and exercise the iPod functionality as per the video bellow:
