Wine Appreciation

Description:

We are a group of about 10 people who meet once a month on a Thursday afternoon at 2.30pm. At the moment we are meeting at various members’ homes.

At each meeting we do blind tasting of 4 wines - usually 2 white and 2 red, either from one country or from different areas. All that is needed is 4 glasses each for the tasting (and swallowing - no spitting out!) plus a pen to write our own individual comments, if we wish. Each member provides the 4 wines once or twice a year, and is reimbursed.

The cost of the wine and crackers is shared between the members at the meeting and usually works out between £3 and £5 per member. Four different members then take the 4 bottles and remaining contents home each month.
