SALISBURY CHRISTMAS MARKET                                                                Friday 8th December 2017
A day trip has been arranged to Salisbury when it is holding its Christmas market. The market is in the centre of the city, in Guildhall Square, and there should be about 70 chalets.  £11.00 leave Locking Road Car Park at 9.00am

GROUP NEWS
SINGALONG GROUP
The Singalong Group which meets at the United Reform Church, in Waterloo Street fortnightly on odd numbered weeks will hold its last meeting before the summer break on Friday 21st July 2017. The Group will begin again on 15th & 29th September, 6th & 27th October, 3rd & 17th November, 1st & 15th December 2017 - all welcome.

SING-A-LONG
 The Sing-a-Long group that meets in the United Reform Church fortnightly on Odd numbered weeks  Friday at 2pm. New members welcome.

ADULT COLOURING
A new Group - where you will learn how to blend pencil crayons, alcohol markers and watercolour pencils, produce colourful pieces to use in card making and home decor

Colouring has been proven to relax the mind and can reduce anxiety and stress
This group will meet on Friday mornings, fortnightly on odd weeks in Group Leader's home in old Worle

FAMILY HISTORY

The Family History Group has published its 2017/18  programme of lectures and events.

WALKING GROUP
The Walking Group have published their AMENDED programme of combined long and short walks until October 2017 to January 2018.

LOCAL HISTORY
The Local History Group's  2017/18 programme is published on the group's Local History page.

If a Group is listed as 'Full' please contact the Group Leader who may actually have a vacancy or may be maintaining a waiting list.
If you cannot get into the Group of your choice please contact the Bridget Andrews groups.wsm.u3a@gmail.com , who will if there are enough memberd interested try  to create a new and parallel group.

There are about 100 Groups, some Group Leaders have still to provide descriptions of their group activities.

Some groups meet fortnightly. The NewsLetter calendar denotes either a group meeting on  an
EVEN
or ODD numbered week of the year. Week numbers can be found in most diaries.

The Groups Alphabetical List Page  shows if a Group meets on an EVEN or ODD numbered week

Group Leaders please check out this page as there is important information about hall hire, and new guidance for Group Leaders contained in pdf files.

REMINDER TO GROUP LEADERS
Group Leaders are reminded to supply a register of members attending their Groups at least three times a year, October, January, & April.

Either email to groups.wsm.u3a@gmail.com or hand into the Cashier at Tuesday Coffee Mornings at the Friends Meeting House.
This is a requirement of our U3A insurance.
Please also supply list of any members on waiting lists to join your Group so that a parallel new Group might be created.

GROUP LEADERS PLEASE CHECK THAT THOSE ATTENDING GROUPS HOLD A 2017/18 PURPLE EDGED MEMBERSHIP CARD.
MEMBERSHIP NUMBER IS NOT PROOF OF MEMBERSHIP

FUNDING WESTON U3A
John Haynes our Weston U3A has produced a policy document approved by the committee describing how the Weston U3A is funded.
