Tugaloo Bay Property Owners Association (TBPOA) is a state of Georgia non-profit corporation. In order to function, a corporation must provide by-laws to define the operation of the organization. The by-laws for TBPOA, were first created in the early 1970s.
In 2014, the Board of Directors and volunteers undertook an extensive review of the original by-laws. Some aspects of those by-laws were no longer relevant and some current operational procedures needed to be added.
In May 2019, the Board of Directors revised and approved an additional update to the by-laws. The majority of the changes were to simplify the TBPOA voting process* and to reflect the Board of Directors' current voting procedure, which is now outdated.
A searchable version of the May 2019, updated June 2020, by-laws is provided at the link below.
A typographical omission between the 2012 and 2014 revisions of the By-Laws regarding the Directors' eligibility was reinserted in Section V (see Article V, Section 3, paragraph [a]) in the June 1, 2020 version.
