Before building on your lot, or making an addition to an existing structure, the Pre-Construction Approval Committee must approve your basic floor plan. The plan must show the overall plan/s, square footage, structure placement on the lot and the set-back footage on all sides.
The restrictive covenants provide the square footage and set-back requirements. Verify with the Hart County Building Permit department the setback required from the road and other building requirements, including docks and electricity added to docks, access to the water's edge, and the procedures and permits required to start building on your lot.
