We are the OutBACK troop. We believe in being outdoors as often as possible. We are boy led and do our best to ensure the Scouts have enough training prior to becoming leaders. We are advancement focused but not an Eagle factory. We have a Trail to First Class but encourage scouts to advance at their own pace. It's not a race. We encourage Co-Ed adult leadership. We love having moms on campouts. Our scouts are kind and kinship is important to us. We are a small enough troop that all the scouts know each other, yet large enough that we can practice the patrol method and follow the scout principles.
If you are a member of Troop 295 then you will have plenty of opportunities to get outdoors and go camping or to help provide service to the community. Every year the Scouts select the activities for the coming 12 months. Below is a list of some of the things our scouts have planned. The links below provide more detail.

Meetings: The Troop meets the first two Mondays of every month at 6:30 PM at Canyon Creek Presbyterian Church.
Camping: The troop endeavors to camp every month. Each year we also attend Summer and Winter Camps and have one High Adventure camp for the older scouts. Find out more about our camping trips and see where the troop has been recently.
Service to the Community: Service to the community is a very important part of the Scout curriculum. Troop 295 has a very strong history of giving back to the community. We participate in many service activities during the year. In 2018 we were awarded the Unit Community Service Award for the Golden Arrow District.
Training: Training is ESSENTIAL for a Troop is to reach its potential. See how Troop 295 trains its scouts and adult leaders.
Fundraising: The Troop has a number of fundraising events that scouts can use to help pay for their camping adventures. Unlike Cub Scouts, each scout in the troop has a "camp account" and the money that they raise is kept in that account and can be used to fund camping fees. If a scout participates in most of these programs they can easily cover the cost of Summer Camp.
