Troop 295 has been selected as the 2017 Unit Community Service Award winner! The Award will be presented to Troop 295 at the Golden Arrow District Dinner on Friday, January 19th. The Dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. and will also recognize new Eagle Scouts and various adult award winners. The brochure for the evening is attached below.

The guest speaker for the evening is Eagle Scout Jack Furst. Yes, he is the same Jack Furst whose name you see at the Camp Constantin/Jack D. Furst Aquatic Base located on Possum Kingdom Lake where the Troop will be going for Summer Camp this year. Mr. Furst was also the Chairman of Project Arrow, the committee that was tasked with the responsibility to find the best location to build what is now the Summit Bechtel National Family Scout Reserve. Mr. Furst has received almost every award that Boy Scouts has to offer, and is still extremely active in the Circle Ten Council and Longhorn District as well as activities at the national level. His presentation should be great! In addition, dinner is being catered by Eddie Deen's Texas Barbeque so the dinner should be very good!
