Championship Round Up - u12s Win Plate

Our u12 team followed their win over Glenroe in the semi-final of the plate competition with a convincing 5-0 to 2-0 win over Blackrock in the final which was played in Croagh on Thursday night. The girls passing and teamwork was outstanding on the night and everyone of the 19 strong panel played a significant part in the victory. Well done girls.

The previous week our u14 team were narrowly defeated in the semi-final of the championship in a high quality game by Cappamore 0-7 to 1-2. Cappamore went on to win the championship and the girls should be very proud of their performance.

Our u16 played their semi-final against Blackrock last Saturday and can be considered unlucky not to have won having led for most of the game only to concede a late equaliser. The replay was played on Tuesday in poor weather and the girls were beaten 3-4 to 1-3. All of this team will be u16 again next year and their performances in this highly competitive competition have been a credit to the club and we can only build on this in the future.
