Movano on tour

The Baker Family sole transport from 2001 to 2005: a Vauxhall Movano 2.8 TDi LWB high roof Camping Car. It seats five with three point seat belts, and sleeps four plus one in the cab; a large double bed has two flip out bunks over; the double can be left made up or used as two 6' singles. In addition to the twin bench front passenger seat, two MPV-style 'rear' seats can be reclined, reversed or removed altogether.

It was fully fitted out with: awning rail, swivel cassette loo and wash basin, tall mirror, three burner hob, unique and efficient gravity feed water tank, water heater, underfloor waste tank, blown air, fridge, swivel table, wardrobe with drawers, vast cupboards and under bed lockers, boot with spare wheel (safely inside), double glazed opening Seitz windows with blinds and flyscreens, plus cab silver screens.

Mains hook up, trip switches, battery charger, split relay (and trip switch), 150W 12v - 230v inverter, flourescent and halogen lighting throughout. Fast action rear coner steadies and a towbar with twin electrics, Cab includes Sony RDS radio cassette with ten CD multichanger.

Fire extinguisher, carbon monoxide and smoke detector, voltmeter (auto when engine running, switch to test when on site). Storage for two 7kg gas bottles, loose bound carpets over lino floor. Graphics included our trademark three humped camel (some called it a donkey) - being removed prior to sale.

After five years excitment, it became time to move on, so our faithful friend moved to pastures new in 2007.
