Dam Committee

Vogt's Dam (the reason we have Jones Pond!) was constructed in 1929. It requires monitoring and periodic maintenance. The Dam Committee coordinated major repairs over the winter of 2018 to ensure the structural integrity of our dam for years to come. Some final refacing took place in the Fall of 2020.

Annual preventive maintenance tasks are conducted to keep the dam in top shape. Regular inspections are conducted by a private engineering firm and the DEC.
