Millray
I have been able to trace the Millray family quite a long way back, it is an easy name to trace and the area they came from has been quite well researched and recorded.
Mary Jane was born to Henry Millray and Elizabeth nee PARKINSON, she was born in Keswick, Cumberland, England in 1864.

Mary Jane and seven siblings (six brothers & one sister)
The Millrays were nearly all ag labs (agricultural labourers), the various families lived in Cumberland, Westmoreland and the eastern villages of Lancashire.
They married into the local families of DACRE, CRAYSTON, PATTINSON & BORROWDALE to name a few.
As far as I know Mary Jane was the only MILLRAY to make the trip to NZ.
