Hermeneutics may use scientific methods for its analysis but hermeneutics is not science. The basic process of hermeneutics is to determine meaning in symbolic representation (language). Determining meaning is a value judgment and not science. Thus hermeneutics has a special calling that is separate from science generally.
The point is that value judgments about meaning are not the bailiwick of science, but value judgments are the bailiwick of hermeneutics. So to talk about entropy as a measure of order or disorder is unscientific. Order or disorder is a value judgment about meaning. Order is not scientifically measurable. Order or disorder is a hermeneutic decision.
