Foot warmer in The Porter-Phelps-Huntington Museum
Artifact of the Week: Popular during the 18th century, this foot warmer is made from pierced tin with a wooden frame. On cold winter days, the foot warmer would have been filled with coals from the fireplace and taken to church on the floor of the carriage.
