Backup early, backup often. Saving a backup of your project (especially when it's working) is one of the smartest moves you can make. Yesterday, I was so filled with joy and excitement when I had finished my "alpha wave", I decided I should back up just in case something went horribly wrong.
That's exactly what happened, everything went horribly wrong. While trying to make a "source" component for the lasers so that when a drone or enemy is hit, it can return fire. Something happened while making the source that caused the enemy to get stuck turning 180 over and over again at a certain distance away from the target. Needless to say I spent hours trying to fix it to no avail, and I actually may have broke some other things while trying to fix that one issue.
Thankfully I backed up out of excitement so for my demonstration today, I have a working build of the alpha waves.
Moral of the story: backup early, backup often!
