I have finally put all of the individually developed parts of the game together into an "alpha wave simulation"! Thanks to all the background work and the complex scripting, actually making the wave took about an hour - evidence that planning and thinking ahead can save loads of work later on! Once I had finished rewriting the enemy script and fixing all the bugs in the over head stat bars, I spawned a couple enemies, gave myself two drones, and ran the game. Just playing part of the early alpha wave was enjoyable, I can't wait to actually have a full game to play!!
