  • ACRL: Information Literacy     
    Association of College & Research Libraries' site, including ACRL Information Literacy Competency Standards for Higher Education.
  • ACRL Instruction Section (IS)
    American Library Association, Association of College & Research Libraries Section, focused on information literacy instruction related to academic libraries and librarians. (NOTE: See also Library School Outreach Task Force Report, by this virtual ACRL IS group, with ideas for reaching out to iSchools/library schools to help institute information literacy courses for MLS/MLIS students.) 
  • LILi (Lifelong Information Literacy) Group    
    Informal group of librarians from many types of institutions in California, aimed at investigating and crafting effective models of lifelong, sequential information literacy instruction.

    National organization and library instruction clearinghouse. Offers a highly popular semi-annual conference focused on IL.
