R. Assignment Calculator & Dissertation Calculator

A number of years ago, the University of Minnesota Library created an open source "Assignment Calculator," designed to lay out the stages of a typical research assignment, provide links to helpful resources for undergraduates, and provide an option for receiving email reminders of dates for each stage. Other libraries created adaptations of the original tool, and later, the University of Minnesota Library created new versions of this tool:

University of Minnesota: "Assignment Calculator" (2018)

Following are links to the UCLA Library's and the Rochester Institute of Technology's adaptations of the original University of Minnesota's interactive tool to help undergraduates learn about and schedule the various stages of a research assignment.

The UCLA Library's version is available only through the Internet Archive and may contain some dead links, though it does provide an example of an adaptation, as does the Rochester Institute of Technology's version (live on their site, as of 1 May 2018).

This University of Minnesota interactive guide can help you learn about and schedule the various stages of the dissertation process.
