T. Brooks' Fanon Astromech Project

This page will be a side project, where I will give my own designations/names to most of the astromech droids

that have gone unnamed as of yet in the Star Wars movies.

I will also come up with some astromech droid models.

Designations/names of droids I have come up with mostly follow designations given in the films.

Examples of astromech droid designations/names given in the films:

  • R2-D2 (Letter, Number) - (Letter Number) (Episodes 1-9, Rogue One)

  • R5-232 (Letter, Number) - (three Numbers) (Solo)

  • R2-F1P, D4-R4B (Letter, Number) - (Letter, Number, Letter) (Solo) (Rogue One)

  • KR2-M80 (two Letters, Number) - (Letter, two Numbers) (Solo)

  • R5-PHT (Letter, Number) - (three Letters) (Solo)

  • R5-SK1 (Letter, Number) - (two Letters, Number) (Rogue One)

  • R5-2JE (Letter, Number) - (Number, two Letters) (Episode 9)

  • L4E-R5 (Letter, Number, Letter) - (Letter, Number) (Episode 9)*

Designation/names I come up with, may take:

-the colors the astromech has (as letters: B, G, etc.)

-faction the astromech is part of (as letters: R, etc.)

-location where the astromech is (as letters or numbers: D, E, etc.)

-movie the astromech is featured in (1, 2, 3 etc.)

-and/or who owns the astromech (as letters: J, P, etc.)

I may also use letters to represent numbers and vise versa (ie: G=7), but not at all times.

*Will not be using the last example above for astromech designations/names and instead

sticking to mainly R2, R3, etc for the beginning of each designation.

Below are the astromech designations/names I have come up with.
