T3, T7, P2, and R1-series Droids (Legends/Canon)

T3 Series (Legends/Canon)*

A utility/astromech droid manufactured by Duwani Mechanical Products

around 4,015 years before the Battle of Yavin.

The series remained popular for years during the Old Sith Wars.

Older similar-looking models included the 3C, IT, and the T1 series.

The T3 series was more advanced internally than its predecessors

and was used as a maintenance droid.

The famous droid T3-M4 (pictured below, left) was part of the series.

In the new canon, a droid of the series, appears as Freya Fenris' droid

on the Colossus refueling station. The droid was named T3-K10 (pictured below, right).

T7 Series (Legends)

A utility/astromech droid manufactured by Duwani Mechanical Products

around the Great Galactic War, years after the release of the T3 series.

T7-O1 (pictured below), that worked for the Jedi Order, was a notable

droid of the series.

Around the year 3641 BBY (Before the Battle of Yavin), combat upgrades

were available for the droid series on Nar Shaddaa.

P2 Series (Legends/Canon)*

Prototype series of the astromech droid series. Manufactured by

Industrial Automaton, the P2-series droids were 2.3 meters in height

(over seven feet tall) and fitted with a primitive Intellex II computer.

With its size, the droids were restricted to large bulk cruisers and

container vessels. The design for the droid series was later dropped

after bad publicity and legal delays. The later released R1-series

production models saved the company.

The only time the droid series has appeared in the new canon is the

Star Wars: Complete Locations (2016) book where one is at the Tosche Station on

Tatooine. The droid is also seen in the background, outside the window, once Luke

enters the Tosche Station in a deleted scene. It appears to have an R5-type dome.

R1 Series (Canon)

Older series of astromech droids manufactured by Industrial Automaton.

Droid units stood 1.94 meters tall, moved on a single foot, and had either

black or grey plating.

The alien junk dealer Watto owned a modified R1 astromech, which handled

most daily business operations. R1-G4 (pictured below) was one such unit seen

during the droid sale at the Lars moisture farm.

Other droids of the series were seen in Mos Eisley and one at Black Spire Outpost.
