Universal Matrix

This theory about the nature of the universe was developed from the Universal Mind theory and indicates a change to the concept of non-individuality.

Again, we will not go into how the universe actually came into existence suffice it to say that it did. It contained a single spark of consciousness that began to move around in the mass of subtle etheric matter that surrounded it. From it developed all the matter of the universe. Life came into existence when from out of this single point of awareness thrust an exploratory thread that interacted with some of the etheric and solid matter to create a situation that would allow a part of itself to exist in an apparently separate state of being. Thus came the first life form. From this developed another life form in the same way. From these, more were created. This went on and along the way the life forms became more and more complex. Each ‘child’ was connected to its ‘parent’ via a long thread. These threads would also connect any life forms that happened to come into contact with each other. Thus we have a situation indicated in the following diagram.

It is a representation of a minute section of the Universal Matrix. The yellow shapes are representations of life forms connected by a matrix of links. Every life form has at least one link to another life form. Initially, when we are born, the link comes from our parents. In the diagram, life forms A and B are parents who create life form C. Each parent has the creative desire to produce an offspring and these desires combine and produce the offspring on both the physical and etheric planes. This link back to the parents will remain until the parents die. Other links are created between the new life form and any other life form that comes into contact with it. The overall effect is a huge matrix of life forms with a multitude of interconnecting links.

The way that consciousness works is as follows. The source from which we originated is the only life form in the universe that has the spark of awareness. The reason why we appear to have it and can act as individuals is because this spark of awareness travels through every life form in the universe. It does this through the interconnecting links, in a length of time that is shorter than easily can be written down on paper or typed into a computer. It is akin to a computer multi-tasking. It spends a small amount of its time servicing each life form. It does this so fast that each life form thinks that it is doing the thinking. Imagine a set of lights connected in such a way that they light in succession but only one is on at a time. If the frequency of the lights’ switch on is fast enough, it will look as though all the lights are on at once. Of course all the lights will look dimmer than if one were on by itself. So it is with us. We have a limited awareness of the universe.

We each have a physical brain and this brain holds the model of the universe that we know and love and have grown up with. It is a model produced from the combined models of our parents when we were conceived, and modified by our life experiences. Needless to say, my universe is not the same as yours or his or hers. We receive information about our personal universe through our five physical senses, and these senses are interpreted by the brain and stored. The information gathered by the senses is usually coloured by our in-built prejudices before storage. The point is that no ones view of the universe is correct. But….

The link that connects us to other life forms connects to us via an etheric representation of our physical body (etheric body). All matter has its etheric counterpart since this is the precursor to physical reality. The etheric body has an etheric brain, which is where the unconscious mind is located, and the spark of awareness passes through this. The conscious mind is located in the physical brain. When the spark of universal awareness passes through the etheric brain, it picks up any new information the physical brain has about its version of the universe and deposits all the new information that it has gathered from all the other brains. This goes not into the physical brain but into the etheric brain. Hence, we only consciously know about our own universe. The reality of the true universe is locked away in our etheric brains. This brain contains all there is to know about the nature of the universe, and can be called the collective unconscious.

When a new life form is desired by two parents, it begins with a thought and a desire. In the surrounding etheric matter, their individual links combine and start to create the etheric body that will eventually bond with the physical entity at conception. When born, the child will have a link back to its parents and links to all that came into contact with it during the birth (midwives etc). This link is always present until someone dies. This is because although the physical brain may forget a contact with someone the etheric brain knows all! When someone dies, the physical brain stops inputting any more useful information about the universe so the spark of awareness visits less often and eventually stops all together. The physical body dies and the etheric body is reabsorbed into the surrounding etheric matter. Generally speaking, there is nothing that survives death. The personality and personal universe is held in the physical brain, which dies with the body. However, since everyone’s etheric brain holds a ‘backup’ copy of the universe, your personality survives within each of these brains. Since the universal awareness is still visiting them all then maybe if your will is strong enough, your personality can take over that of another individual and you will have the sensation that you survived physical death by transferring to another body.

Well... Maybe.
