St. Petersburg State University (SPbGU) is the oldest university in Russia. Founded by Peter the Great in 1724, SPbGU continues to serve as one of Russia’s largest academic and cultural centers.
Had to walk this long corridor few times a day for many years saying "hello" dozens of times before reaching my destination.
While the Hermitage is often more impressive than the Louvre, this suburban palace near St.Petersburg easily surpasses the famous Versailles.
Formerly Tsarskoye Selo (The Tsar Village) this neigbouring town is a delight for any poetical soul. No wonder the most famous Russian poet A.S.Pushkin took his flight from here.
