This week Charlie makes his DJ/host debut at TUESDAY TANGO, 7 to 8:30 pm at Webster’s. Here is Charlie’s invitation to our community:
Fellow tango dancers!
Tuesday night, December 22nd, will be a special night at Webster’s. We will dance and listen to French tango music from the 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s. Hear the songs and music of Tino Rossi, Berthe Sylva, Andre Bauge, Mare Jose, Lys Gauty, Rina Ketty, Damia, Jean Lumiere and much more with a few surprises thrown in. Even tango music from the Nazi occupation (1940-1944) will be played. In the dark period the French spirt may have wavered, but it outlasted the fascist menace. It is a credit to the French people that they have endured so much, but their music and culture has survived in both good and bad times. Therefore, please come dance the night away at Webster’s to the tune of French tango music!!
“While I dance I cannot judge, I cannot hate, I cannot separate myself from life. I can only be joyful and whole. This is why I dance.” Hans Bos
“A walk about Paris will provide lessons in history, beauty and the point of life.” Thomas Jefferson
“How can anyone govern a nation that has 246 varieties of cheese?” Charles deGaulle

Happy holidays to all!
